About Winslow Bank

Swiss heritage, built for a dollar-denominated, trading-driven world

The people earning and moving some of the most sophisticated money today are often the very people traditional private banks struggle to serve well. We built a Swiss private bank around that gap.

Our Story

Winslow Bank started with a simple observation. The people earning and moving some of the most sophisticated money today, active traders, digital entrepreneurs, internationally minded business owners, are often the very people traditional private banks struggle to serve well. Their income is real. Their activity is legitimate. Their documentation holds up. Yet too many banks still treat trading and crypto linked income as a problem to manage rather than a business worth understanding properly.

So we built a Swiss private bank around that gap. A bank that reads a broker statement as fluently as it reads a payslip, and that can hold, protect, and grow US dollar wealth with the same rigor Swiss banking has always been known for.

The founding team combined three backgrounds that do not usually sit in the same room: private banking relationship management, where the discipline of segregated custody and conservative balance sheet management comes from; trading and prop firm operations, where the founders had personally lived the frustration of profits sitting stuck at a broker because the receiving bank flagged the deposit as unexplained; and payments engineering, to make sure the infrastructure connecting broker platforms to a client account actually works the way a trader expects it to.

Swiss Foundations

Winslow Bank is headquartered in Geneva, with a second office in Zurich, and it is built on the same principles that have defined Swiss banking for generations: careful use of capital, genuine client confidentiality within the bounds of the law, properly segregated client assets, and a conservative approach to risk on the bank's own books.

Geneva gives us proximity to the private banking and wealth management ecosystem that has served international clients for well over a century. Zurich gives us proximity to the country's financial infrastructure and correspondent banking network. Between the two offices, a client anywhere in the world is generally within a few working hours of a relationship manager during their own business day.

A USD First Approach

The Swiss franc still sits at the heart of the Swiss financial system, but we designed Winslow around the US dollar as the primary account currency, because that is where our clients actually trade, invoice, and hold their reserves. Most Forex and CFD brokers settle in USD by default. Most crypto exchanges quote and withdraw in USD or USD pegged stablecoins. Most international invoicing between businesses, even ones with no US presence at all, still runs in dollars. Building around CHF and asking clients to convert every time money moved would have added friction and cost to exactly the transactions our clients do most often. CHF, EUR, and GBP support sits right alongside the USD core for the moments clients genuinely need them.

How We Think About Risk

A bank that actively courts trading and crypto linked clients has to be more disciplined about risk, not less. We think about risk in three layers: client level, who are we banking and can they document where their money comes from; transaction level, does this specific deposit or withdrawal match the pattern we would expect from this client; and institutional level, is the bank's own balance sheet conservatively positioned, with capital held against the deposits we take in. All three layers get reviewed continuously, not just at onboarding.

Our Values

  • Discretion, exercised responsibly and always within the law
  • Honesty with clients about fees, structure, and risk
  • Careful source of funds standards that protect the clients doing things right
  • A long view on wealth, not a quarter by quarter one
  • Treating trading and crypto linked income as a business line to understand, not a problem to avoid
