Security & Asset Protection

Segregated accounts, vaulted assets, layered controls

Client funds held in segregated accounts, physical gold and silver in insured Swiss vaults, and real-time monitoring on every account. Here is how we protect what is yours.

How We Protect What's Yours

  • Client funds held in segregated accounts, kept separate from the bank's own operating capital
  • Multi-factor authentication and encrypted channels across online and mobile banking
  • Real-time monitoring that watches for unusual activity on your account
  • Physical gold and silver held in insured, audited Swiss vaults

What Segregation Actually Means

When you deposit funds with Winslow, that money is recorded as a liability the bank owes back to you, held apart from the funds the bank uses for its own lending and operations. In practical terms, this is the difference between a bank that treats client deposits as something it borrows and lends out at will, and a custody arrangement where your balance is clearly yours, tracked separately, and reconcilable against the bank's own books at any time. This same principle extends to precious metals: allocated gold and silver holdings are recorded against specific bars and serial numbers assigned to you, not commingled into a general pool the bank can use for other purposes.

Layered Digital Security

Every login to online banking requires multi-factor authentication, meaning your password alone is never enough to access the account. Sessions are encrypted end to end, and devices you log in from regularly are remembered so unfamiliar devices trigger extra verification automatically. Behind the scenes, every transaction, every wire, and every login attempt is logged and monitored by automated systems trained to flag activity that does not match your normal pattern.

How We Operate Day to Day

Larger or unusual transfers, including trading profits arriving from a new broker relationship, go through extra verification before they are released. It can feel like an extra step in the moment, but the same friction that occasionally slows down a legitimate transfer is what makes it much harder for someone else to move money out of your account without you noticing. We aim to keep that friction proportionate: a client with an established, well documented pattern of broker withdrawals from three known platforms will clear faster than a first time deposit from an unfamiliar source.

Physical Asset Security

Gold and silver held through Winslow's Precious Metals Accounts sit in insured, professionally operated Swiss vault facilities, the same category of high security storage used by major bullion banks and dealers, with reinforced vaults, biometric access controls, and around the clock monitoring. Allocated holdings are recorded against specific bars, by weight and assay, so what you own is identifiable and auditable, not a claim against a shared pool.
